Gyula Varga, 1956er

Gyula Varga was born on February 1, 1947 in Sopronlövő, Hungary. He escaped Hungary in 1956 after the Hungarian Revolution, arriving to the U.S. and spending his first years in Phoenixville, PA. He attended Drexel University and became an engineer while being very engaged as a Hungarian scout leader and member of the Hungarian-American community near Philadelphia. He married Magdolna Gergátz (Varga) (also interviewed by the Memory Project) and they had four children together. They have all been active in the Hungarian community of New Brunswick, New Jersey.
