Ilona and Ottó Solymossy lived near the Austrian border and fled with their three small children during the revolution of 1956 (their youngest was only 2 years old at the time). They were sponsored by relatives already in the U.S. and lived in the vibrant Hungarian community in Chicago, Illinois. They later moved to Sarasota, Florida, where this interview took place.
