Tibor Ország experienced the Hungarian revolution of 1956 first-hand in Budapest and tells a riveting story of his experiences as a young boy in the mayhem that was the capitol city. His family was already marked as 'enemies of the state,' so they fled when the revolution provided them with the opportunity. His father was beaten to death before the revolution on trumped up charges.

He is an active member of the Hungarian community in Cleveland.

Interview conducted by Andrea Lauer Rice, Eszti Pigniczky and Réka Pigniczky in Cleveland, Ohio in April of 2015.
